We do not store your IP address. We do not store your full user agent. We do not sell or share personal data.
What we collect
Our own log stores the page path, the host of the referring site when that site is not us, a short crawler name when the request identifies as a known crawler, the status code, and how long the page took to answer. Nothing in it identifies a person.
Analytics and Cloudflare
- Umami, when it is enabled, is cookieless analytics. It does not set a tracking cookie.
- Google Analytics 4, when it is enabled, sets cookies. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Cloudflare processes requests for security and runs its Web Analytics. It sees your IP address as part of delivering the site. We do not store it.
If you write to hello@midorreal.com, we keep your message and address to answer you and to keep a record of the request.
Retention
The page log is kept 180 days. Raw source data from GitHub and Hacker News is kept 14 days.
Public project data
Data about public repositories is public project data, not a profile of a person. We do not store contributors' names.
Your rights
If you are in California (CCPA and CPRA) or the EU or UK (GDPR), you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Email hello@midorreal.com. We answer within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
The site is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
